However, from what I understand Adobe is really strict about checking for academic eligibility so don't buy that if you don't actually qualify. If you are a student, you can pick up the Student and Teacher version which is much cheaper. The cheapest I've seen it recently was $420 at Newegg for the full version download or $430 for the boxed version. If you don't own a prior version which you can upgrade, you are pretty much stuck paying full price.
